“Restoration” is my first foray into more speculative fiction—a tale that stems from the idea of victim replacement (“cloning” as one of the characters refers to it) and centers on negotiations for a business deal to insure the safety of potential clients. I’m pleased to have the story included in the debut issue of Crime Syndicate, guest edited by Eric Beetner along with magazine founder Michael Pool.
