I’m looking forward to this year’s Malice Domestic Conference—Friday-Sunday, April 24-27 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, in Bethesda, Maryland. Malice is always a highlight of the year for us—writing or otherwise—and my wife, Tara Laskowski, and our son, Dash, will both be attending too, of course. A family affair!
My official schedule is below, but I’ll also be making the rounds of various other panels and events, running into folks in the bar and the lobby, and attending the Agatha Awards Banquet as well—cheering on the winners and finalists alike!
- Panel: “Make It Snappy: Our Agatha Best Short Story Nominees,” as moderator, with Ashley-Ruth Bernier, Barb Goffman, Kerry Hammond, Nikki Knight/Kathleen Marple Kalb, and Edith Maxwell/Maddie Day • Friday, April 24, 2 p.m.
- Panel: “Short But Sweet: The Difference Between a Novel and a Short Story,” with Mary Dutta, Dru Ann Love, Manju Soni, and Cathi Stoler, moderated by Kathryn Prater Bomey • Friday, April 24, 4 p.m.
- Signing • Saturday, April 25, 9 a.m.
